Tyler James Davis, born on June 30, 1989, went missing during a night out in Columbus, Ohio, on February 24, 2019. Tyler and his wife Brittany's seemingly normal life took a dark turn as Tyler, a devoted father and restaurant manager, vanished without a trace.
The couple's night started with dinner and drinks with a friend, Schon, culminating in a visit to a local strip club. The evening took a distressing turn when Tyler, confused and agitated, walked away from the hotel. Despite attempts to reassure Brittany, Tyler never returned.
The timeline of events, revealed through credit card and phone records, paints a vivid picture. Tyler's route, tracked through digital forensics, led him through suburban areas and eventually to a wooded location near the hotel. Phone communication suggested Tyler's confusion about the hotel's location, raising questions about a potential misidentification.
Various theories emerged, from the possibility of accidental drowning in a nearby pond to speculations about the Smiley Face Killers. The police's belief in a water-related tragedy, although unconfirmed, adds complexity to the mystery.
Amid online speculations and accusations, Brittany faced scrutiny, with unfounded claims about her family background and motives. Theories ranged from financial gain to involvement in a supposed family tradition of foul play. The internet's role in shaping public perceptions complicated an already challenging situation.
In December 2021, an Ohio court officially declared Tyler Davis dead, almost three years after his disappearance. As the fifth anniversary approaches, the case remains unresolved, with the Columbus PD urging anyone with information to come forward. Brittany and Schon strive to move forward, away from the public eye, while the search for answers continues in the frustratingly cold case of Tyler Davis's disappearance.

The Complex Tale of William Tyrrell: A Closer Look at the Disappearance and Investigation
On September 12, 2014, in his Spider-Man costume, William Tyrrell vanished from his foster grandmother’s house in Kendall, New South Wales, Australia, prompting an extensive search. The investigation delves into leads involving a washing machine repairman and a suspected pedophile ring. Despite legal battles and dropped allegations, the mystery persists, with lead investigator Gary Jubelin proposing an opportunistic abduction. William Tyrrell's disappearance remains an unresolved puzzle, captivating public interest.
William Tyrrell, born on June 26, 2011, in Sydney, Australia, became the center of an enduring mystery when he disappeared from his foster grandmother's house in Kendall, New South Wales. Raised in foster care by a family shrouded in legal privacy, the circumstances surrounding William's upbringing and subsequent disappearance are complex. Born to parents with a troubled history, William's journey led him into state custody and, ultimately, into the care of a wealthy North Shore family. However, the foster family faced challenges with William's behavior. Despite these stated challenges, the family had begun to have talks of formal adoption without the knowledge of his biological parents.
On the morning of September 12, 2014, the day William went missing, the foster family's visit to their grandmother's property took an unexpected turn. As the foster mother made a call, William, in his Spider-Man costume, disappeared. The subsequent search involved police, volunteers, and a specialized task force. The task force soon identified a person of interest: washing machine repairman, Bill Spedding, who faced public scrutiny and legal battles.
The investigation also uncovered reports of a local pedophile ring, linking it to a group of senior citizens known as Grandparents as Parents Again (GAPA). Despite intense efforts, the connection between these individuals and William's disappearance remained elusive. In a 60 Minutes Australia interview, lead investigator Gary Jubelin suggested an opportunistic abduction, emphasizing the narrow window of the crime and the potential role of William's Spider-Man suit in creating rapport with the abductor.
As the case unfolded, allegations against Spedding were dropped, leading to a lawsuit against New South Wales Police. The investigation took unexpected turns, raising questions about the foster care system, potential suspects, and the broader context of child safety. The mystery of William Tyrrell's disappearance endures, leaving both his biological and foster families, as well as the wider community, searching for answers to this day.

Vanishing Act: The Story of Asha Degree's Disappearance
In the quaint town of Shelby, North Carolina, the story of Asha Jaquilla Degree unfolds, marked by a series of perplexing events that continue to baffle investigators and tug at the hearts of her family. Born into a close-knit household, Asha's life revolved around family, school, and church, yet her tale takes an unexpected turn on the fateful Valentine's Day of 2000. As storms and darkness enveloped the Degree residence, Asha's disappearance set off a frantic search, revealing cryptic clues that only deepened the mystery. From eyewitness sightings to the discovery of her backpack miles away, every detail of Asha's vanishing act adds layers to a narrative that refuses to be forgotten. The Degree family's enduring hope, coupled with the relentless efforts of investigators, underscores a story that goes beyond a mere disappearance—it's a puzzle waiting to be solved, a family waiting to be reunited.
The story of Asha Jaquilla Degree's disappearance is a heart-wrenching mystery that has puzzled investigators and haunted her family for over two decades. In this podcast episode, we delve into the timeline of events surrounding Asha's vanishing act, exploring key moments, eyewitness accounts, and the ongoing efforts to find answers.
Early Life and Family Background (1990-2000)
Asha Jaquilla Degree was born on August 5, 1990, in Shelby, North Carolina, to Harold and Iquilla Degree. Raised in a tight-knit family, Asha and her brother O’Bryant enjoyed a sheltered upbringing centered around family, school, and church. The Degrees focused on maintaining a safe and orderly environment for their children, with Asha and her brother focused on their schoolwork and basketball.
The Weekend Before Disappearance (February 11-13, 2000)
Valentine's Day weekend in 2000 marked a special time for Asha and O’Bryant. Despite a basketball game setback for Asha, the family spent quality time together. Asha enjoyed a sleepover with her cousins on Saturday, while Sunday included church and lunch at an aunt's house. However, that evening, a storm disrupted their routine. Asha, feeling restless due to the weather, joined her family in the den. A power outage ensued, and the children were sent to bed. The last check on Asha was around 2:30 am.
Disappearance Unfolds (Morning of February 14, 2000)
Valentine's Day, also Harold and Iquilla's wedding anniversary, took a tragic turn when Iquilla discovered Asha missing when she went to wake the kids up for school. A frantic search ensued, involving law enforcement, family, and neighbors.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Asha walking along North Carolina State Route 18 between 3:30 and 4:15 am. Two truck drivers described a small figure in light-colored clothing, one thinking it might be a woman in a domestic violence situation.
Discovery of Clues (February 17, 2000)
A breakthrough occurred when one of the eyewitnesses, trucker Jeff Ruppe, guided investigators to a location where Asha had veered off the road into the fog. In an outbuilding on Charles Turner's property, investigators found a plastic hair bow, a pen, a white pencil from Atlanta, and candy wrappers that belonged to Asha. These clues led to an intense ground search of the area surrounding the building, but no additional clues were unearthed.
Construction Site Discovery (August 2001)
Over a year later, construction workers in Burke County, 25 miles away, found a double-wrapped plastic bag containing Asha's backpack. The contents, sent to FBI headquarters, revealed clothing, a piece of paper, and a pencil case. A thorough search of the area yielded no further traces of Asha.
Renewed Investigation and New Leads (2016-2018)
In 2016, the FBI released a new tip about Asha being seen getting into a car on Highway 18. Two years later, details about items in Asha's backpack, including a Dr. Seuss book and a New Kids on the Block concert T-shirt, were disclosed.
False Leads and Ongoing Hope (2020-2023)
Despite tips from an inmate and various investigations, false leads and dead ends have marked the years following Asha's disappearance. The Degree family, resilient and hopeful, continues to believe that Asha is alive, waiting for the day they can be reunited.
The disappearance of Asha Degree remains an unsolved mystery, leaving a family in perpetual anguish. As investigators continue to explore leads and the Degree family holds onto hope, the story of Asha serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring pain and questions that linger in cases of missing loved ones.

The Disappearance of Claudia Kirschhoch: Unraveling the Secrets of Negril
Stranded after a canceled press junket, Claudia Kirschhoch’s sudden vanishing on May 27, 2000, triggered a desperate search by her parents. The subsequent investigation, marked by resort cover-ups and false claims during a shocking press conference, thrust the case into the spotlight. Despite legal battles and persistent efforts, Claudia's fate remains unknown, leaving the Kirschhochs in a lingering quest for closure.
Claudia Ann Kirschhoch's story is one of mystery and intrigue, a tale that unfolded on the picturesque beaches of Negril, Jamaica. Born on February 9, 1971, in Morristown, New Jersey, Claudia led a life that blended her love for writing with an adventurous spirit that took her from the streets of Paris to the coastline of Washington State. However, her dream job at Frommer’s Travel Guides took an unexpected turn during a fateful trip to Jamaica in 2000.
The Junket
In May 2000, Claudia, along with other travel writers, embarked on a planned journey to Havana, Cuba. However, due to safety concerns arising from the Elian Gonzalez incident, the press junket was abruptly canceled. Stranded in Jamaica, Claudia found herself at Beaches in Negril, where she initially felt disappointed but soon embraced the beauty of the location.
The Disappearance and Investigation
Claudia's idyllic stay took a dark turn when she vanished on May 27, 2000, just days before her planned return to New York. The discovery that her belongings were still in her hotel room set off alarm bells, leading her parents to launch a desperate search for their daughter.
As the investigation unfolded, it revealed a series of suspicious actions by resort staff, including the mishandling of Claudia's personal items and the erasure of security footage. With the FBI's involvement, the focus turned to individuals like Anthony Grant, the bartender who Claudia had befriended. The two had attended a reggae concert off-property a few evenings prior to her disappearance.
The Press Conference Debacle
A press conference held by Sandals Resorts PR representative Leo Lambert added a layer of confusion to the case, with false claims about Claudia's activities and relationships. Lambert later admitted to fabricating the information to protect the resort's image.
The Ongoing Mystery
Despite unprecedented efforts and a civil suit, Claudia's disappearance remains unsolved. In recent years, the case has seen few updates, leaving the fate of Claudia Ann Kirschhoch shrouded in mystery.
As we reflect on the events that unfolded on those Jamaican beaches in 2000, we are reminded that some secrets may take years to surface. The Kirschhochs deserve closure, and the truth behind Claudia's disappearance may still be out there, waiting to be uncovered.

Unraveling the Mystery of Yasmin Acree: A Troubled Past, Police Missteps, and Lingering Questions
In the tragic narrative of Yasmin Acree, a life marked by foster care, abuse, and police missteps unfolds. Born into instability, Yasmin's journey through the Kentucky foster care system and tumultuous years with Rose Mae Starnes in Chicago culminated in a chilling disappearance in 2008. Terrell Smith, a figure with a dark past, adds complexity to the narrative, as police missteps and a lack of answers leave Yasmin's family in despair. Despite revelations of misconduct and disturbing claims, Yasmin's case remains unsolved.
This week’s episode delves into the heartbreaking events that unfolded in Yasmin Acree's life and the unresolved mystery surrounding her disappearance.
Early Struggles and Foster Care
Yasmin's challenging childhood, marked by neglect and abuse, led to her placement in the Kentucky foster care system as a toddler. During this time, Yasmin and her brother faced physical abuse, and Yasmin was a victim of sexual abuse. In 2001, their mother, Joyce Acree, petitioned for her children to be permanently placed with relatives. Yasmin and her brother found a new home with Rose Mae Starnes in Chicago. However, this wasn't a fairy tale ending, as Rose struggled to provide a nurturing environment. Yasmin's blossoming personality clashed with her unresolved trauma.
Introduction of Danger
35-year-old Terrell Smith, a man with a criminal history, moved into the same building as Yasmin. Despite efforts to keep a distance, Terrell's presence became a concerning factor in Yasmin's life, as the young girl developed a crush on him.
Disappearance and Police Missteps
Yasmin's mysterious disappearance in 2008 raised questions about police handling. Initial assumptions of Yasmin running away were challenged by evidence at the scene, including a broken door and cut lock. Despite this, the investigation went cold extremely quickly, with police failing to look into the people surrounding Yasmin.
Meanwhile, Terrell's criminal activities escalated, and he was later arrested for heinous crimes. His alleged involvement in Yasmin's case remained unproven, leading to frustration for Yasmin's family. Despite revelations of police misconduct and Terrell's disturbing claims of knowing what happened to Yasmin, her case remained unsolved. Rose, along with Yasmin’s cousin, Reverend Ira Acree, continued to advocate for Yasmin and urge Chicago police to investigate her disappearance.
Legacy and Continued Advocacy
Rose's passing in 2014 didn't deter Yasmin's family from seeking answers. Reverend Acree continued to voice concerns, urging a renewed investigation and justice for Yasmin. As the 29th anniversary of Yasmin's birth passed in 2021, Reverend Acree expressed frustration at the lack of police attention. He called for renewed efforts and justice for Yasmin.
Yasmin Acree's story is one of tragedy, police missteps, and lingering questions. Despite the passage of time, her family continues to advocate for justice, hoping to uncover the truth about Yasmin's disappearance and bring closure to this haunting mystery.

Born into a loving family of four siblings, Trevor's early years were filled with the simple joys of childhood. As a teenager, he faced uncertainty about his future, until a stroke of fate led him to an IT certification course in Dublin that changed his life. Join us on a journey through Trevor's life, from his promising career at the Bank of Ireland Asset Management to the mysterious events of a December night in 2000 that left him vanished without a trace. Despite the passage of time, Trevor's family and friends continue their unwavering quest for answers, refusing to let his memory fade.
The disappearance of Trevor Deely has left a trail of questions, heartache, and relentless hope spanning over two decades. Born on August 15, 1978, in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland, Trevor's life seemed to be heading in a promising direction until that fateful December night in 2000. In this episode, we delve into the details of Trevor's life, his mysterious disappearance, and the ongoing search for answers.
Trevor Deely's Early Life
Trevor Deely was the youngest of four children born to Anne and Michael Deely. With an older brother, Mark, and two older sisters, Michele and Pamela, Trevor's upbringing in a loving family in Naas was ordinary in many ways. Described as easygoing, Trevor struggled to find his true calling during his teenage years. After graduating from high school, he faced uncertainty about his future.
Fortunately, Trevor's older siblings stepped in to guide him. Michele discovered an IT certification course in Dublin, and Trevor decided to give it a try. Little did he know, this decision would change his life. Trevor excelled in the course, and in May 1999, he received three job offers upon completion. He accepted a position at the Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin.
Trevor's work ethic and positive attitude made him well-liked by his colleagues, including his manager, Daragh Treacy, who described him as a trustworthy and positive individual.
The Fateful Night
December 7, 2000, began innocuously with an office Christmas party at the Hilton Hotel. Trevor met up with colleagues at a nearby bar, Copper Face Jacks, before heading to the party. After the official party ended, he, along with his manager and a few others, continued the night at Buck Whaley’s nightclub.
As the night turned into early morning, Trevor left the nightclub around 3:30 am. A heavy rainstorm and a taxi strike forced him to walk back to his office, arriving at around 3:25 am. There, he encountered his co-worker, Karl Pender, before leaving with a promotional golf umbrella.
At 4:06 am, Trevor left a voicemail for his friend Glen Cullen, expressing that he was on his way home and would talk to him later. A few minutes later, at 4:14 am, Trevor was captured on CCTV at a Bank of Ireland building, carrying the umbrella. Tragically, this was the last sighting of Trevor Deely.
The Search for Answers
Trevor's failure to show up for work the next day initially raised concerns, but his family, friends, and colleagues didn't immediately realize the gravity of the situation. Days passed with no word from Trevor, prompting his family to contact authorities.
A massive search effort ensued, with family and friends distributing flyers, hanging missing posters, and conducting door-to-door inquiries. Divers even scoured the Grand Canal but to no avail.
New Hope and Leads
In December 2016, a cold case review reignited hope. Enhanced CCTV footage revealed a mysterious man in black who had interacted with Trevor outside his office. This man had waited for Trevor and later followed him.
In August 2017, a search was launched around the Baggot Street area, focusing on a known criminal gang's operations. While drugs and a weapon were found, Trevor's whereabouts remained a mystery.
Ongoing Search and Family's Plea
As the 20th and 22nd anniversaries of Trevor's disappearance passed, his family continued to fight for answers. New reward posters were displayed in Irish prisons as part of the #whereistrevorcampaign.
Trevor's parents, Anne and Michael, have accepted the likelihood of their son's death but refuse to give up hope. They appeal to the public, urging anyone with information to come forward, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Michele, Trevor's sister, emphasized that their parents deserve closure.
The disappearance of Trevor Deely remains one of Ireland's most enduring mysteries. With each passing year, his family clings to hope determined to find answers and bring closure to a painful chapter in their lives. While many theories persist, the truth remains elusive, leaving an indelible mark on those who loved and cared for Trevor.

In 1994, Erin moved to Alaska to live with her sister Stephanie Juarez and her family at Elmendorf Air Force Base. Erin's disappearance remains an enigma, with a timeline marked by inconsistencies and a prime suspect whose story raises more questions than answers. Despite the passage of nearly three decades, her family's unwavering determination to uncover the truth keeps the hope of resolution alive. Erin Marie Gilbert's life took an unexpected turn on a summer evening in 1995 when she vanished without a trace from the Girdwood Forest Fair in Alaska. This perplexing disappearance has left her family searching for answers for nearly three decades. In this episode of ‘And Then They Were Gone,’ we delve into the details of Erin's disappearance, the timeline surrounding that fateful day, and the lingering questions that haunt this unsolved case.
Erin's Background
Erin Marie Gilbert was born on May 4, 1971, in Everett, Washington. Tall, athletic, and intelligent, she seemed to have it all. Erin played multiple sports in high school, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, and was known for her kindness. In 1994, Erin moved to Alaska to live with her sister Stephanie Juarez and her family at Elmendorf Air Force Base.
In the summer of 1995, Erin met David "Dave" Combs at a local bar called Kilkoot Charlies, or “Koots.” They exchanged numbers and eventually agreed to a date at the Girdwood Forest Fair. Dave's story of that evening would later become the subject of intense scrutiny.
The Disappearance
According to Dave, he and Erin left the fair around 6 pm when his car failed to start after he had forgotten to turn his headlights off. He left Erin at the car to retrieve jumper cables from a friend's nearby house but ended up wandering for two hours, unable to locate the friend. Upon returning to the fairgrounds, he found Erin missing.
The timeline provided by Dave has inconsistencies, and it relies heavily on his early statements to the police. There are few witnesses to corroborate the events. One Reddit user, who knows Stephanie, mentioned a witness who saw Erin at the fair and talked to her about tattoos, but this remains the only known witness other than David.
Search and Investigation
Erin's family immediately launched a search, but the initial police response was limited due to Erin's adult status and the short duration of her disappearance. It was only after Stephanie contacted a local news station that law enforcement began to take action.
Despite the oddity of Dave's story, police have never officially named him as a suspect, primarily due to a lack of evidence and motive. Dave cooperated initially but later refused a polygraph test and ceased communication with investigators. He has maintained a clean record and continues to live in the area.
Various theories surround Erin's disappearance, including the possibility of foul play by Dave or an unidentified stranger. Erin's athletic build makes it unlikely that she could be easily overpowered. Nonetheless, the case remains shrouded in uncertainty.
Erin's family has not given up hope and continues to search for answers. They maintain a Facebook page dedicated to her case and periodically return to Alaska to distribute flyers. They believe that someone may have crucial information that could help solve the mystery.
The disappearance of Erin Marie Gilbert is a haunting, unsolved mystery that has left her family searching for answers for nearly three decades. While many questions remain, her family's determination to find the truth keeps the hope of resolution alive. If you have any information related to Erin's disappearance, please come forward. The Gilbert family and the community deserve answers, and Erin deserves justice.

Despite a delayed report and a fraudulent call complicating the case, her family's unwavering determination led to the FBI's involvement in 2020, reclassifying it as a homicide. As of 2023, her disappearance remains unsolved, but her family continues their relentless quest for justice, highlighting the importance of valuing every life and pursuing justice fervently.
Aubrey Dameron's life was marked by courage, identity exploration, and the pursuit of dreams. Born as Austin Dylan Joel Dameron on October 22, 1993, in Oklahoma to her mother, Jennifer Byrd, Aubrey faced numerous challenges throughout her life. From battling bullying to embracing her true identity as a Transgender/Two-Spirit individual, Aubrey's journey was a testament to her resilience. Tragically, her story took a dark turn when she mysteriously disappeared on March 9, 2019.
Aubrey's Early Life
Aubrey's upbringing was marked by both love and adversity. Growing up without her father, she shared a close bond with her uncle, Christian Fencer, who was more like a sibling than an uncle. Aubrey had a deep passion for rock and roll and nurtured dreams of becoming a singer or an actor. However, her kind and caring nature often made her a target for bullying, a struggle she shared with her close friend, Christian.
As Aubrey and Christian faced bullying together, they made a significant decision to come out as gay, bravely revealing their true selves. Unfortunately, this choice resulted in not only continued bullying at school but also within their community. Aubrey's aunt, Pam Smith, described the harsh reality of the homophobic slurs and even threats they endured.
Upon entering high school, Aubrey realized that her journey to authenticity was far from over. She came out as transgender and began her social transition. Christian reflected on this period, highlighting the challenges and eventual acceptance within their family and community. Moreover, Aubrey identified as "Two Spirit," a sacred status in Native American culture, reflecting her unique gender identity.
Despite the obstacles she faced, Aubrey continued to show remarkable courage and grace. She was a compassionate soul who never wanted others to feel lonely or out of place, mirroring her own experiences. Nevertheless, years of bullying, harassment, and isolation took a toll on her, leading her into a battle with drugs and alcohol.
A Fresh Start and Troubled Relationship
After graduating, Aubrey began dating Jay C Pierson, a man from New Mexico. Seeking a fresh start, she left her family and community behind and moved in with him. During this time, Aubrey continued her medical transition and underwent breast augmentation. However, life in New Mexico proved challenging, and she eventually returned to Oklahoma, driven by fear of Jay and his threats.
The Suspicious Disappearance
On March 9, 2019, Aubrey was last seen walking away from her home at approximately 3:30 AM. The rural area offered no nearby locations, making it unlikely she was attempting to reach a destination on foot. Astonishingly, her mother, Jennifer Byrd, and brother were the witnesses to her departure. They reported that she was dressed in black but left without her purse or essential medication for her epilepsy, a condition she had lived with her whole life.
Surprisingly, it took two days for Aubrey's family to report her missing to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, marking March 11 as the official report date. Investigators initially did not view the case as suspicious, despite her leaving behind vital belongings.
A Disturbing Twist
A startling development occurred on March 12 when Deanette Rowbotham, a friend with whom Aubrey had fallen out, contacted Jay C Pierson, Aubrey's ex-boyfriend. She claimed Aubrey was being held captive in Ketchum, Oklahoma, due to drug-related debts. Deanette requested money from Jay to help Aubrey and even issued threats. Although this call was later revealed to be fraudulent, it added another layer of complexity to Aubrey's case.
The timing of this call, three days after Aubrey's last sighting and one day after her disappearance was reported to police, raised questions. It's important to note that Aubrey's closest relatives, Christian and Pam, only learned about her disappearance a week later.
Pam Smith, in her relentless pursuit of the truth, contacted the Delaware County Sheriff's Office and faced discouragement from Captain Gayle Wells. Despite this, Pam and Christian remained determined to find Aubrey. Two weeks after her disappearance, their efforts led to the first search for Aubrey Dameron, involving dozens of individuals and a dive team that searched nearby ponds.
A Troubling Discovery: During the search, a white sock with possible bloodstains was discovered about half a mile from Aubrey's home. This discovery puzzled investigators, as it did not align with the description of the clothing Aubrey was wearing when last seen. Unfortunately, DNA results from the sock were inconclusive, leaving more questions than answers.
Pam and Christian's interactions with the Sheriff's office became increasingly strained. Despite the potential significance of the jacket found near the suspected burial site, no substantial information emerged from it. Pam voiced her skepticism about the reliability of DNA testing.
In 2020, Aubrey's case took a significant turn when it came under the jurisdiction of tribal police and the FBI due to the McGirt Vs. Oklahoma case. The FBI reclassified the case as a homicide, and Shannon Buhl, Director of the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service, criticized the previous investigation, citing lost time and potential missed leads.
Unanswered Questions
Despite these developments, as of 2023, no one has been charged in Aubrey's disappearance or potential homicide. The investigation continues, with possible evidence on Aubrey's family property awaiting further examination.
Aubrey Dameron's story is one of courage, resilience, and the quest for identity in the face of adversity. Her mysterious disappearance remains unsolved, but her family, particularly her Uncle Christian and Aunt Pam, continue to seek justice and answers. Aubrey's story serves as a reminder that every life is valuable, irrespective of identity or background, and that justice must be pursued relentlessly.

The Abduction of Teekah Lewis: A Two-Decade Unsolved Mystery
Explore the enigmatic case of Teekah Latres Lewis, a young girl who mysteriously disappeared from a Tacoma bowling alley in 1999. Two decades later, her family and investigators still seek answers, recounting the details of her life, the events leading to her disappearance, and the perplexing twists in the case. Despite promising leads, Teekah's story remains an unresolved mystery, leaving her mother's unwavering hope as a poignant reminder of the ongoing quest to find her.
Teekah Latres Lewis, born on July 4, 1996, to Theresa English and Robert Lewis, had a childhood marked by both love and tragedy. Teekah's story is a heart-wrenching one, as she became another name on the long list of missing or murdered Indigenous women. This blog post delves into the details of Teekah's life and her inexplicable disappearance from a Tacoma bowling alley in 1999. Despite years of investigation and searching, Teekah's case remains unsolved.
Teekah's Early Life
Teekah was the fourth child of Theresa English. Her father, Robert Lewis, was Black, and her mother was of White and Native American descent, part of the Chippewa tribe in Washington State. Tragically, her life would take a devastating turn when she disappeared in 1999.
Teekah's family described her as a "mature" toddler who was both self-sufficient and a momma's girl. Her father, Robert, had a troubled past, often in and out of trouble with the law. At the time of Teekah's disappearance, he was incarcerated for first-degree theft, leaving Teekah without a father figure.
The Fateful Evening at New Frontier Lanes
On a cold, rainy evening of January 23, 1999, Teekah's family gathered at New Frontier Lanes in Tacoma, a popular bowling alley. They were there to enjoy a night of family bonding and fun. Around 8:30 pm, Theresa, her boyfriend, and their children arrived, accompanied by other family members. They rented two lanes in the bowling alley, joining a crowd of patrons.
The bowling alley was bustling with activity that night, as it was league night, and even had an off-duty Tacoma police officer for security. Teekah, a typical toddler, spent her time bouncing between the family's lanes and the nearby video game area. Around 10:15 pm, she was engrossed in a car racing game called Cruisin' World.
Like any vigilant parent, Theresa kept an eye on Teekah while tending to her other child. However, when she turned her attention back to Teekah, her daughter had vanished. Panic set in, and Theresa immediately alerted her family, initiating a frantic search within and around the bowling alley.
Despite thorough efforts, including restroom checks, inquiries with other patrons, and searches in the parking lot, Teekah was nowhere to be found. The off-duty police officer at the scene sealed off exits, made announcements over the intercom, and even checked employee-only areas, but Teekah remained elusive. Law enforcement was called to the scene, and a massive search operation began.
The Search for Teekah
Police acted swiftly, launching a search spanning a 1.5-mile radius around the bowling alley. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department mobilized search and rescue volunteers, some with dogs, and the FBI joined the efforts. Despite helicopters scouring the area, no trace of Teekah was discovered. By Sunday evening, authorities announced their belief that Teekah Lewis had been abducted.
In the days following her disappearance, investigators and volunteers conducted a door-to-door search, interviewed local sex offenders, and established a 24-hour tip line. While Theresa was given a polygraph test and the family was questioned, the focus wasn't on them as suspects. Still, the results of the polygraph test were not disclosed to the public.
A Possible Lead Emerges
As investigators struggled to develop strong leads, an intriguing lead surfaced. In a news report, a witness identified as "John" revealed that he had seen a man with a pockmarked face accompanied by a little girl at the bowling alley on the night of Teekah's disappearance. This revelation raised suspicions, as the man's behavior had struck John as odd.
Detective Steven Reopelle, reviewing the case 20 years later, connected John's account with an earlier observation from someone who noticed a person with a pockmarked face acting strangely during a reenactment at the bowling alley. This pockmarked man was now a person of interest, described as white, 5'11" with a husky build, shoulder-length curly brown hair, and a thick mustache.
Multiple Suspects Emerge
Further investigation uncovered other witnesses who saw two men near Teekah on the night she vanished. One of these men was described as a 30-40-year-old white male, approximately 5'11" and 200 pounds, with a pockmarked face, brown hair, and a thick mustache. The second man, believed to be in the same age range, stood at around 5'9", weighed 200 pounds, and had long black hair, dirty jeans, and a grey jacket with a sports logo.
Additional Suspicious Incidents
During the initial investigation into Teekah's disappearance, several disturbing incidents involving children in or around New Frontier Lanes came to light. These incidents included a sexual assault on a four-year-old boy, an encounter with a man attempting to lure a six-year-old boy away, and an unsettling incident near a park close to the bowling alley. Each incident involved a man matching the description of the pockmarked man . However, the connection between these incidents and Teekah's case remains uncertain.
A Long and Heart-Wrenching Search
Despite extensive efforts, Teekah Lewis remains missing, and her case has gone cold. Over the years, critical information appears to have been lost or overlooked, adding to the frustration of investigators, the family, and those following the case.
In recent developments, an age-progressed image of Teekah was created, offering renewed hope and a powerful reminder of the enduring quest to find her. Theresa, Teekah's mother, continues to hold out hope, expressing her desire to reunite with her daughter and bring her home.
The disappearance of Teekah Lewis is a tragic, unsolved mystery that has haunted her family and investigators for over two decades. Despite numerous leads and eyewitness accounts, the case remains open, with critical details potentially lost in the passage of time. Teekah's story serves as a somber reminder of the countless unsolved cases and the enduring hope of reuniting missing loved ones with their families.

The small town of Challis, Idaho, is known for its close-knit community and idyllic surroundings. But in 1993, this peaceful town became the center of a heartbreaking mystery. On October 11, 1993, 9-year-old Stephanie Lynn Crane vanished without a trace on her way home from a bowling alley. Despite a massive search effort and years of investigation, Stephanie's disappearance remains unsolved to this day. In this blog post, we'll delve into the details of Stephanie's disappearance and the ongoing efforts to find answers.
Stephanie’s Early Life
Stephanie Lynn Crane was born on September 28, 1984, in Challis, Idaho, to parents Sandi and Ben Crane. As the oldest of four siblings, Stephanie was known for her adventurous spirit. She enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities more than playing house, which made her closer to her father, as her mother was often busy caring for her younger siblings.
The Day of Her Disappearance
On the day of her disappearance, Stephanie, like many kids in Challis, had the freedom to walk to and from school on her own. She was part of an after-school bowling league with friends and was given money by her mother for a snack. After bowling, she was supposed to walk home by 5 pm.
Around 4:45 pm, Stephanie left the bowling alley, heading towards her house. A friend's mother offered her a ride, but she declined, as her house was only 500 yards away, separated by a footbridge over Garden Creek. However, later reports indicated she was seen heading in the opposite direction, waiting to cross the highway.
By 5:00 pm, Stephanie had not returned home, causing concern for her mother, Sandi. A search for her began, involving numerous community members, firefighters, sheriff's deputies, and even a tracking dog that briefly picked up Stephanie's scent. The search continued into the next day, with over a thousand people involved.
Despite the extensive efforts, no trace of Stephanie was found, leading investigators to consider the possibility of an abduction.
Public Awareness and Suspects
Stephanie's disappearance gained media attention, prompting citizens to report sightings of a suspicious bright yellow pickup truck with red pinstripes near the school on the day she disappeared. Unfortunately, no license plate number was recorded.
As the weeks passed, the investigation shifted focus. A composite sketch of a suspicious man was created based on interviews with children who were at the bowling alley that day. However, this lead did not yield any conclusive results.
Over the years, the investigation encountered several false leads and suspects, including Stephanie's great-uncle, Robert Paul Crane, who was later ruled out. The case became even more complex when it was compared to the abduction of another young girl, Polly Klass, in California, which led to the arrest and conviction of a different suspect.
Continued Efforts
Despite the passage of time, the Custer County Sheriff's Office continues to follow any leads they receive, with the hope of bringing closure to Stephanie's family. Various non-profit organizations have also assisted in the search.
In 2000, a potential lead emerged when an inmate in Canyon County jail claimed to know the person responsible for Stephanie's abduction. The investigation led to a disturbing account of a man in Nampa, Idaho, who had been previously convicted of sexual abuse but was never charged in Stephanie's case due to inconclusive evidence.
In 2002, another suspect named Keith Glenn Hescock came to light, but he died by suicide after a police chase. Hescock had a history of criminal behavior, including a suspected kidnapping and a connection to another unsolved case. However, no concrete evidence linked him to Stephanie's abduction.
Stephanie Lynn Crane's disappearance remains an unsolved mystery that has haunted Challis, Idaho, for decades. Despite the tireless efforts of law enforcement and the community, her fate remains unknown. It is a stark reminder that there may be people out there who hold crucial information about this case. Stephanie's family continues to hope for answers and closure, even as the years go by.
If you have any information about Stephanie's disappearance, please contact the Custer County Sheriff's Office. This case serves as a reminder that the passage of time should never deter the pursuit of justice for those who have gone missing.

The Mysterious Disappearance of Akia Eggleston: A Story of Persistence and Justice
In May 2017, Akia Eggleston, eight months pregnant and on supposed bed rest, suddenly vanished after withdrawing large sums of money from banks and ATMs. Her case gained national attention in 2021, leading to a thorough investigation that ultimately resulted in the arrest of her boyfriend, Michael Robertson, on charges of first-degree murder. This blog post delves into the details of the case, shedding light on the key factors and the significance of media attention in securing justice for Akia and her unborn child, Anubis.
On May 3, 2017, the life of Akia Eggleston took a tragic turn. Eight months pregnant and supposed to be on bed rest, she inexplicably withdrew large sums of money from banks and ATMs before vanishing from social media. Her family's realization that she was missing came when she failed to attend her own baby shower. The subsequent investigation into her disappearance would reveal a web of complex relationships and legal troubles.
Akia's story gained national attention in 2021, leading to renewed efforts by law enforcement. In February 2022, Michael Robertson, Akia's boyfriend and the father of her unborn child, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder. In May 2022, Akia and her unborn baby were added to the list of Baltimore's homicide victims.
The Motive
Michael Robertson had a history of legal troubles, particularly regarding child support payments. Court records revealed multiple complaints against him by different women, all seeking child support. This pattern of financial strain, combined with the prospect of another child to support, may have been a significant factor in what ultimately transpired.
The Investigation
Despite the suspicious circumstances surrounding Akia's disappearance, the Baltimore police initially did little to find her. It was only after national media attention and public pressure that they launched a thorough investigation. The involvement of the FBI further intensified the search.
The Trial
In July 2023, Michael Robertson's trial began. Witnesses testified about the events leading up to Akia's disappearance and their negative opinions of Robertson. The prosecution's theory was that Akia had been murdered, and her body disposed of in a dumpster, a claim supported by a garbage truck driver's testimony. However, the defense argued there was insufficient evidence to prove Akia and her unborn child's deaths.
The Verdict
After a brief deliberation, the jury returned a verdict of guilty on two counts of first-degree murder, holding Michael Robertson responsible for the deaths of both Akia and her unborn son, Anubis. Sentencing is scheduled for October 25, 2023, with Robertson facing two life sentences in prison.
The case of Akia Eggleston highlights the importance of media attention and public support in ensuring justice for missing persons. It also underscores the persistence of families who refuse to let their loved ones' stories go untold. While true justice would have been Akia and Anubis living their lives, the guilty verdict offers some semblance of closure to a tragic tale of loss and determination.

Codi Bigsby Disappearance: Latest Developments in Murder Case - Indictment of Cory Bigsby
The case of Codi Bigsby's disappearance has been ongoing since January 2022. Codi's father, Cory Bigsby, reported his son missing from their Buckroe townhome, and police named him as the only person of interest in their investigation. After months of investigation, the authorities have concluded that Codi is dead, and on June 5, 2023, Cory Bigsby was indicted for the murder and concealment of Codi's body. This update on the case will explore the latest developments in the investigation and the efforts to find Codi.
The Search for Codi
On January 31, 2022, Cory Bigsby reported his 4-year-old son, Codi, missing from their Buckroe townhome. A search immediately ensued, but Codi was nowhere to be found. Police named Cory as the only person of interest in their investigation. The authorities have long presumed that Codi is dead, although his body has never been found.
From the first minutes of the investigation, Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbot said that the evidence about what likely occurred has been very clear. There is little about this that has been mysterious. Since then, the authorities have been working tirelessly to find Codi's body and bring justice to his family.
Cory Bigsby's Arrest and Mental Competency
During the initial investigation, Cory Bigsby was taken down to the station for questioning, which turned into an interrogation that spanned days. He was subsequently arrested on multiple charges of child neglect, and since then, he has remained in jail. His mental competency has been called into question, and after several hearings, a grand jury was convened and on June 5, 2023, Cory Bigsby was indicted for the murder and concealment of Codi's body.
The Mental Health Evaluation
A recently released mental health evaluation reveals that Cory Bigsby is competent to stand trial. Dr. Weare Zwermer conducted an evaluation of Cory Bigsby in February and March, during which he determined that Bigsby seemed to understand the legal process ahead of him but not the seriousness of the charges against him. The evaluation also detailed Bigsby's "escalating paranoia" and a series of "bizarre" behaviors during his time at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail.
In March, Bigsby's team requested a judge to dismiss the charges against him after they say the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office obtained evidence that wasn't submitted to the defense for months. The evidence is a written statement Bigsby wrote while in jail. Bigsby's defense team said the Commonwealth got a copy of that letter on Aug. 3 but did not share it with the defense team until November.
The Competency Restoration Services
Bigsby was behind bars without bail at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail until a judge ordered him to Eastern State Hospital in March to receive competency restoration services after an exam found him incompetent to stand trial. Licensed Clinical Psychologist William McKenna evaluated the father on May 30 and determined he is now competent to stand trial.
During his hospitalization, Bigsby's thought process was "goal-directed" and did not contain "overt delusional ideation, obsessions, or phobias," according to the report. He also denied having any auditory or visual hallucinations. A doctor diagnosed him with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and prescribed him medication.
Bigsby began competency restoration services on April 19 and addressed several concerns that Zwermer highlighted in his evaluation of the father that happened in the spring. Those included conflicting background information that Bigsby gave several medical providers, which the father said had been "misinterpreted." He also told the counselor that he gave erroneous biographical information to at least one evaluation because "he believed the evaluator did not need to know such personal details," the report states.
The Indictment
On June 5, 2023, a grand jury indicted Cory Bigsby on charges of murder and concealment of a dead body. The paperwork associated with the indictment has not been filed yet in Hampton Circuit Court, according to clerks in that office. He's also facing 30 charges connected to the alleged abuse and neglect of Codi and his brothers.
Codi's Legacy
Codi's disappearance has had a profound effect on his family, friends, and the community at large. Despite the challenges of this case, Codi's memory lives on through the efforts of those who have worked tirelessly to find him and bring justice to his family.

The case has gained significant attention, with many following the story closely since the boys' disappearance. This blog post is for a two-part episode of the And Then They Were Gone podcast, covering the trial, and providing updates and insights into the case.
On December 21, 2020, Trezell and Jacqueline West reported their two adopted sons, Orrin and Orson, missing. According to the Wests, the boys were playing in the family's fenced-in yard while Trezell was gathering wood. On one of his trips back, he noticed they were gone. An intensive search immediately commenced, but there was no sign of the boys. As the public began to hear the story's details, many concluded that Jacqueline and Trezell's account didn't make any sense. Police also quickly added the parents to the top of their suspect list.
The case continued to develop, with searches continuing, but with no luck. Then, on March 1, 2022, Jacqueline and Trezell West were arrested for murder. Their trial is underway, despite the fact that the bodies of Orrin and Orson have yet to be found.
The facts of the Case
Over the course of several weeks, the prosecution laid out its case, which, absent the boys' bodies or other physical evidence, hinges on a star witness: Trezell and Jacqueline's 12-year-old son. The prosecution contends that the brothers had already been dead for months before the 911 call was made. The prosecution has argued that the Wests' account of events is inconsistent and that they have provided false information to law enforcement. They have also claimed that the Wests had a motive and opportunity to kill their children
The defense, meanwhile, has argued that the prosecution's case is entirely circumstantial and that the Wests are innocent until proven guilty. They have suggested that the boys may have been kidnapped or run away, and are still alive somewhere. The defense has also presented evidence of Trezell and Jacqueline's loving relationship with their sons, claiming that they would never do anything to harm them.

The Vanishing Chef: Looking into the 2009 Disappearance of Claudia Lawrence
In 2009, Claudia Lawrence, a 35-year-old chef at the University of York, vanished without a trace. Despite extensive searches and investigations, no one has been able to solve the mystery of her disappearance. In this episode, Kona and Ethan delve into the details of the case, exploring the possible motives and suspects, as well as the challenges faced by investigators. Join us as we take a closer look at one of the most perplexing missing person cases in recent history.
The disappearance of Claudia Lawrence in 2009 is a case that has captivated the attention of the public and law enforcement officials alike. Claudia Lawrence was a 35-year-old chef who worked at the University of York. She was last seen on March 18, 2009, and her disappearance has remained a mystery ever since.
The investigation into Claudia's disappearance has been one of the largest and most complex in the history of North Yorkshire Police. The police have conducted extensive searches of the area around Claudia's home and workplace, as well as interviewing hundreds of people who knew her. Despite these efforts, no trace of Claudia has been found, and no arrests have been made in connection with her disappearance.
One of the most puzzling aspects of Claudia's disappearance is the lack of any clear motive. She was not involved in any criminal activity, and there was no evidence of any personal or financial problems that might have led her to disappear. This has led some to speculate that Claudia may have been the victim of a random attack, or that she may have been abducted by someone she knew.
Another factor that has made the investigation into Claudia's disappearance difficult is the lack of physical evidence. There were no signs of a struggle at Claudia's home, and no DNA or other forensic evidence has been found that might help to identify a suspect. This has led some to suggest that Claudia may have been the victim of a carefully planned and executed crime, with the perpetrator taking great care to avoid leaving any evidence behind.
Despite the challenges faced by investigators, the case of Claudia Lawrence remains open, and the police continue to follow up on any leads or new information that may come to light. The disappearance of Claudia Lawrence is a tragic reminder of the dangers that can lurk in our communities, and the importance of remaining vigilant and aware of our surroundings. It is also a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement officials who work tirelessly to bring justice to victims and their families.
Listen to this episode of And Then They Were Gone for a deep dive into the investigation into Claudia Lawrence’s disappearance.
